Texas Nursing Statistics

National Nursing Statistics are available through the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis, a division of the US Department of Health and Human Services - Health Resources and Services Administration.

The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) transitioned the state's nurse licensure database to a national nurse licensure system in May 2020. During the migration process, the BON was unable to generate its annual statistical reports. Following the successful completion of this transition, the BON resumed the production of statistical data reports starting with Fiscal Year 2023. The Texas Board of Nursing regrets any inconvenience this gap in data collection and reporting may have caused.
