Luz Maria Morales Aguilar:
a.k.a. Luz Morales; a.k.a. Luz Aguilar; a.k.a. Luz M. Aguilar; a.k.a. Luz Morales Aguilar

Luz Maria Morales Aguilar secured employment and practiced as a Registered Nurse with a Pediatric Home Health Agency in Houston, Texas, from April 8, 2024, through April 29, 2024, by using the license number belonging to an actual nurse with the same first and last name. During this time, Luz Maria Morales Aguilar provided direct patient care and represented herself as a Registered Nurse to staff, patients, and the public while using the credentials “RN” on medical and business records. The Board’s investigation revealed that the date of birth, social security number and address information provided by Luz Maria Morales Aguilar to her employer did not belong to any nurse who had a license or privilege to practice nursing in the State of Texas. The case has been referred to the Office of the Harris County Attorney for prosecution.

Kacosa Kumira Pleasant:
a.k.a. Kacosa Pleasant; a.k.a. Kumira Pleasant; a.k.a. Kacosa K Pleasant

Kacosa Kumira Pleasant secured employment and practiced as a Registered Nurse with a Dialysis Center in Lubbock, Texas, from June 10, 2024, through November 22, 2024, by submitting a fraudulent Affidavit of Graduation from the University of Phoenix to the New Mexico Board of Nursing, who issued Kacosa Kumira Pleasant a Registered Nurse license on June 5, 2024. The license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing was a multistate license which allowed Kacosa Kumira Pleasant to work in Texas since New Mexico and Texas are members of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), which allows nurses to practice in other NLC states without obtaining additional licenses. During this time, Kacosa Kumira Pleasant provided direct patient care and represented herself as a Registered Nurse to staff, patients, and the public while using the credentials “RN” on medical and business records. The Board’s investigation revealed that on or about January 25, 2022, Texas Board of Nursing informed Kacosa Kumira Pleasant a final determination of licensure denial was issued as a result of the University of Phoenix Legal Services confirming that the Dean’s office for the College of Nursing was unable to verify that Kacosa Kumira Pleasant ever attended their program. Furthermore, on or about November 25, 2024, the New Mexico Board of Nursing issued a Settlement Agreement with Kacosa Kumira Pleasant, in which she surrendered her license. The Settlement Agreement issued by New Board of Nursing was based on their finding that materials submitted for licensure it was found that the educational transcripts submitted with the January 14, 2024, application for licensure were fraudulent and that Kacosa Kumira Pleasant had, in fact, not attended the school she listed (University of Phoenix) in the fraudulent transcripts. The case has been referred to the Office of the Lubbock County District Attorney for prosecution.

Courteney Virginia Curry:
a.k.a. Courteney Curry; aka Courteney V. Curry

Courteney Virginia Curry secured employment and practiced as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with an Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic in Austin, Texas, from March 16, 2020, through October 29, 2020, without a license. During this time, Courteney Virginia Curry provided direct patient care, administered medications, and represented herself as a Licensed Vocational Nurse to staff, patients, and the public while using the credentials “LVN” on medical and business records. The Board’s investigation revealed that the date of birth and social security number provided by Courteney Virginia Curry to the facility did not belong to any nurse having a license or privilege to practice nursing in the State of Texas.

Additionally, On or about October 21, 2020, Courteney Virginia Curry attempted to secure employment as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with an Allergy Clinic in Austin, Texas, by falsely representing to the employer that she had a license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas. Management from the clinic accessed the Texas Board of Nursing’s online licensure verification system and discovered that Courteney Virginia Curry did not have a license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas. The Board’s investigation revealed that the date of birth and social security number provided by Courteney Virginia Curry to the facility did not belong to any nurse having a license or privilege to practice nursing in the State of Texas. The case has been referred to the Office of the Travis County Attorney for prosecution.

Britney Mai Johnson:
a.k.a. Britney Johnson, Britney Washington, Britney Moene, and Britney Parks

Britney Mai Johnson attempted to secure employment and practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a Long Term Care facility in Houston, Texas, in December of 2024, by using the license number and name belonging to nurse with a different name. During this time, the Britney Mai Johnson did not provide direct patient care to patients but accepted the position.

Christina Gutierrez:

Christina Gutierrez secured employment and practiced as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Home Health agency in San Antonio, Texas, from January 2023, through May 2025, by using the license number and other forms of identification belonging to another nurse with a similar name and date of birth. During this time, Christina Gutierrez provided direct patient care to pediatric patients and represented herself as a Registered Nurse (RN) to staff, patients, families and the public while using the credentials “RN” on medical records.

Additionally, the license of Christina Gutierrez to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas had previously been revoked for impersonating a Registered Nurse in 2020 with a similar name. This case has been referred to the Bexar County- County Attorney’s office in San Antonio, Texas, for prosecution.

Margarita Gonzalez:
a.k.a. Margaritta Gonzales, Margarita Gonzales, Margarita Gonzalez

In February 2025, the Imposter attempted to secure employment and practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation, El Paso, Texas and AVIR at Patriot, El Paso, Texas, by using the license numbers, and names belonging to nurses with similar names. During this time, the imposter did not provide direct patient care to patients but accepted the positions.

The facilities notified the Texas Board of Nursing during the credentialing stages when the provided names, address, Date of Birth, and Social Security Nurses did not match the licensee verification. The Imposter goes by numerous aliases to include: Margaritta Gonzales, Margarita Gonzales, Margarita Gonzalez.

Additionally, the imposter secured employment and practiced as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Las Cruces Wellness and Rehab, Las Cruces, New Mexico from February, 2025, through May, 2025, by using the license numbers belonging to multiple nurses with similar names. During this time, the imposter provided direct patient care to the facility patients and represented herself as a Registered Nurse to staff, patients, families and the public while using the credentials “RN” on medical and business records.

This case has been referred to the El Paso County District Attorney’s office, El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces 3rd Judicial District Court, Las Cruces, New Mexico, for prosecution.
