CE Upload Module is Now Available in the Texas Nurse Portal

The Texas Board of Nursing is pleased to announce that the Continuing Education (CE) Upload Module is now available in the Texas Nurse Portal.

Nurses may begin uploading documentation of completed continuing education before their next renewal or reactivation. The module has been opened early to give nurses time to become familiar with the process and help ensure a smoother renewal experience.

To upload your CE:

1. Log in to your Texas Nurse Portal
2. Select “Add Continuing Education” next to your license
3. Follow the instructions provided. There is also a helpful tutorial walkthrough to guide you through how to upload a CE Certificate.

Beginning September 1, 2026, all nurses renewing or reactivating a Texas nursing license must upload proof of all required CE before submitting their renewal or reactivation application.  

This early release allows nurses to prepare ahead of the implementation date while Board staff continue enhancing the module with additional features and improvements.

We encourage all nurses to explore the new module now and upload their continuing education well in advance of their next renewal.
