Description of Duties:
Performs complex (journey level) legal research and analysis work regarding the Nurse Practice Act and Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations. Work involves examining and preparing legal documents, conducting research, and evaluating documents for making recommendations to agency attorneys. See attachment for detailed job description of essential functions of the position.
General Qualification Requirements:
Experience and Training:
Ability to speak and write effectively and to maintain communications while enforcing rules and regulations. Knowledge of federal and state laws affecting the agency as well as agency policies and procedures. Experience in administrative, civil and/or criminal research preferable. Experience in the health care field and/or nursing preferable.
Education:
Must have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college and be enrolled in an accredited university law school working towards a LL.B. or J.D. degree.
Working Hours:
Negotiable depending on class schedule.
